3 of 6: From "The Good Shepherd Session" circa summer 1977. Recorded and mixed by the infamous Dan "Gosh-Golly" Shepherd ... in his garage ... on two-track analogue tape ... pretty much recorded live—with a tiny little bit of over-dubbing (because everyone was doing it back then!). The song itself was written in circa 1973 for the band's lead guitarist to sing ... but he, having other priorities at the time, rejected it saying, "Try giving it to John Denver ..." So, the song sat, in the proverbial CAN, until the day of "The Good Shepherd" session, where it was hastily dusted off and given to Roland to sing. And sing he did! Although never released, the original analogue tape was dug up (from its shallow grave) in early 2025 and given a fresh re-mix and (perhaps) a more modern sound tone ... and released (or unleashed?) into the world of global streaming - on all digital platforms - later that same year ... ©1977 and 2025 Roland Colon—Sal Geraci
