SURPRISE! Yeah ... even to us, really. We really hadn't planned to release a brand new album in January 2026, but (and yes ... "But what? Everyone I know has a big "But" ... C'mon, Simone, let's talk about 'your' big "But") as we were (vigorously) working on our next TWO (count 'em) album projects, we took a little break during the 2025 Holidays and listened to some of our older recordings (specifically from our 2018 sessions at The Windmill) and, Boy Hickey! Those older recordings really sounded GREAT ... Radio Friendly ... Tuneful ... and FUN! Just sayin' ... Then, we started to wonder WHY we never released any of this good stuff ... too busy recording other, newer good stuff, maybe? No matter ... from around 50 songs recorded at that time, we cherry-picked (by hand, no less) a dozen ... did a very quick 2026 upgrade to the mixes and a new sequencing order and ... drum roll (if we had a drummer) ... ¡ VOILÀ ! we had ourselves a 'brand new' 12-song album of really cool, masterfully-recorded but 'forgotten' Colon-Geraci songs that totally deserved to see the light of day! So, because we sort of 'found' them through reflection, that is, looking back ... we oh so cleverly named the collection "REAR-VIEW-MIRROUR" (get it? get it? looking BACK, right?)—nice cheeky title, eh? And now, here it is: A (surprise) NEW album from MIRROUR - our first musical offering for 2026 and hopefully one that YOU will enjoy as much as we do! OK, break's over, Lads ... time to get BACK TO WORK on the "real" NEW albums ...

the LATEST album (Still Spinning out there!)

OUT NOW!
Our brand new album, REAR-VIEW-MIRROUR, is here and streaming its way around the world ... on ALL platforms and here on our website ... that's right, get those down-loaders all queued up! You won't want to miss one note of this one!

what's next?

Well, we don't know ...

that's right ... we really don't !

Right now, it is pretty obvious that the BIG thing in Mirrour Land is (2026) 'Rear-View-Mirrour' and (2025) 'The Opus' (Opus in C major) our current new/latest albums ... which are both getting ALL of the attention—and—well, as these things go and as time marches on, both will also be getting older every minute! And because new albums don't stay that way (NEW, that is) forever, it becomes the weighty responsibility of The Artist to carry on and create more new albums ... what's the term? "Gotta feed the monkey ..." Right? Well, since we have recorded  so many songs through the years, we have amassed mountains of music ... and, as such ... SOMETIMES we actually go back in time and dust off an old container of nearly-finished work ... and, you know ...  finish it ... making it possible to release NEW [OLD] albums that will always sound NEW to YOU since you weren't around years ago when we were making them.

Make sense?

That said, we have a real doozy waiting in the wings for you ... it was our BIG PRODUCTION album of yesteryear: We called it (and still do) "The JOURNEY" ... and please don't ask where it takes you because we've never figured that part out ourselves! Conceived in 1975 (in a wild and colorful fashion); Written in 1976 (at least a dozen wild and colorful songs); Roland and Sal vocals recorded in New York in 1982 (at least a half-dozen wild and colorful takes—mostly all in tune; Complex multi-tracked analogue instrumentation added in 1983 (in an experimental, wild and colorful way) and even some new tracks written and recorded in the wee hours of early 1984 ... yeah, we all became obsessed with this Journey that was taking us nowhere ... we started wearing wild, colorful clothing, sunglasses indoors, grew mustaches and long sideburns and began to communicate in Klingon ("It was a Magical Time") ... and then, it all hit the can ... or was it the fan? The JOURNEY was shelved, never again to see the light of day ... even with sunglasses on.

Well, anyway, to make a long story even longer, early in 2025, whilst Jan Boogaloo was spinning The Opus over at UKNR, we, for reasons unknown, pulled The JOURNEY down off the shelf and dog-gone-it (!) it didn't sound half-bad after all those years ... so ... we decided to work on that other half ... the half that sounded 'half-bad' remember? And in the process, we started doing little bits of touch-up work on every song and, little by little, bit by bit, we are getting there and, at least some of us are feeling that maybe ... just maybe, we can ... one day in the not too distant cosmic future, actually release it into the wild ... or at least into the wild world of global streaming ... maybe calling it a Super-Explorer's-Collector's-Limited-Edition-Series-Box-Set-Archival-Edition Edition. Or maybe just a remastered Blast from our Past? We'll see how it turns out. So far, all three of us like it ... but we're maybe a little too close to it, maybe?

Oh, and hey, even if it doesn't make the cut (like should we decide that originally, back in 1983, maybe we slipped on too many notes because we were wearing those daft sunglasses in the studio) we just might post it HERE, on our website, as a website-only exclusive BONUS to the fans ... then you can download it in all of its glory and maybe even grow a mustache whilst listening!

Time will tell. We will keep you posted on our progress! So, watch this space!

THE JOURNEY SAMPLER (2025)

So ... after all that, wanna hear a SAMPLER? We can't really play the whole album for you because, well .. er ... ah ... um ... ah ... er ... um ... well, see, we never really ever finished it ... but, it's mostly done ... isn't it? Last we checked? In all earnest, we hope (and you know, 'hope springs eternal') to get all of these awesome tracks fully remastered and ready for modern-day radio-friendly radio ... sooner, rather than later. But, in the meantime, we can officially 'leak' this little six-minute SAMPLER that will give you a feel for the flavour of the project. Oh, and speaking of "flavour", we have found that 'The Journey' is definitely an acquired taste ... it will NOT be for everybody ... I guess you could say that it is our MARMITE album (!) ... fans will either LOVE it or HATE it ... just sayin' ... So, have a quick listen to the SAMPLER and see what you think. We've compiled excerpts from every song on the original album, as is, in glorious Lo-Fi, as this little gift is being delivered to you as a low-quality MP3 file, since no Digital or WAVE recordings are available ... yet. Take a wild trip back with us ... and remember: "It was a Magical Time" ...

"the great mirrour takeover"

phonic fm under siege! charming, peaceful exeter, devon will never again be the same!

Woe to the citizens (and house pets) of beautiful Exeter ... the rumors are TRUE ... from across the Pond, they come ... and they conquer ... and, if a brave soul rises up, they will have the rare opportunity to reverse history by riding up and down the shores of The Exe River proclaiming: "The Americans are coming! The Americans are coming!" It was a date for the history books: Saturday, January 17, 2026: they locked Jason Maddocks in the boot of his car ... they dismissed the PHONIC FM staff ... and, they TOOK OVER ... made a lot of long distance phone calls ... threw stuff out the window ... and left a serious MESS ... Yeah, unsuspecting PHONIC FM, the pride of peaceful Exeter, Devon, was under siege!  No one is spared ... and no one is safe! And the music? Well, if Marmite could talk ... or, maybe even sing ...THE GREAT MIRROUR TAKEOVER ...

"THE record machine show"

mirrour is interviewed by award-winning James michael hollenstein

As you have surely heard by now, we were quite honored to be asked by JMH to participate in a one hour+ interview with him on his award-winning radio show "THE RECORD MACHINE". James found us ... "Liked" us (at FB) and then asked us for an exclusive interview pertaining to our current album, "Opus in C major", still streaming on all major global platforms ... and THIS website ... it was great fun and James is such a gracious host ... hope we didn't tear up his studio (and reputation) too badly!
