Originally, an EP 'sampler' designed to break the band into New York and Los Angeles radio air space, this time-capsule analogue recording was meticulously engineered and mixed by the late, great Emitt Rhodes at his home studio in Hawthorne, California (just around the corner from the 7-Eleven that The Beach Boys often drove past).
